Microphone array positioning principle

The principle of microphone array positioning is based on multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology, which processes the signals received by multiple microphones to determine the location of the sound source. 1. Microphone array receives sound signals: The microphone array consists of multiple microphones and can receive sound signals from multiple directions.

2. Signal processing: By performing time domain or frequency domain analysis on the signal received by each microphone, the phase and amplitude information of the sound signal received by the microphone can be obtained.

3. Calculate the arrival time difference: For the positioning algorithm based on time difference, the distance and direction information from the sound source to each microphone can be obtained by calculating the arrival time difference of the sound signals received by multiple microphones.

4. Calculate the sound source position: According to the arrival time difference and phase information of the signals received by multiple microphones, the position coordinates of the sound source in the array can be calculated.
